For the record, I don't know what CNN and Fox are reporting, but I think the Little Miss Piggy thing going around is being blown out of proportion. Is it a highly contagious strain of the flu? Yes. Is it sweeping through the city's school system?
Apparently. Is delicious bacon threatening our lives? No.
I have not seen a single person wearing a mask on the subways. So if you see CNN pictures of this, take them with a grain of salt. I bet the copyright date on the image is July 8, 2006; unrelated. The only thing subway riders are concerned about is standing clear of the closing doors.
maybe people should also know that there's an average of 36,000 deaths per year from the regular flu. and so far there's been like 2 or something deaths in the US.
